The AutoScan function is used to transfer, update, and decode your inventory. You will need to have a Portable Scanner. The Telxon Portable Scanner is no longer supported by AutoManager.
Setup – This window allows you to verify the communication settings between the scanner and your computer. Leave the type of connection as Direct Connection and make any changes to the Port, speed, parity, databits and stopbits as necessary.
Update Inventory – Use this tab to being uploading your inventory from the scanner to DeskManager. Make sure your scanner is on, press END on your scanner, then click Upload.
Compare Inventory – Use this tab to compare inventory on your scanner and inventory in DeskManager. It will go through all of your available inventory in DeskManager and compare the information between DeskManager and the scanner data. Click Compare to begin the comparison process.
Print – Use this function to print the list of the comparison results.
