The Deal/Trade list screen shows you a listing of the deals in the system. The screen is divided into four sections:
1. Search (Upper-Left)
This section allows you to search for deals based on certain criteria. Note that there are two ways to search:
- Quick Find – This lets you search for a deal based on one of the following:
- Stock#
- Account#
- Title/ROS# (Report of Sale)
- Key#
- VIN#
- VIN (Last 6)
- Trade/VIN#
- SS# (Social Security)
- Buyer
- Co-Buyer
- Company
- Receipt#
- Phone#
- *Note – If you do use the phone number search, you can either type in the whole phone number, or a portion. If you want enter the entire phone number, it must be in the format (XXX) XXX-XXXX. There is a space after the closing parentheses.
- Advanced Search – This lets you optionally search for a deal based on the above criteria. You can also search for a deal based on:
- Time period (Filter) – To display all of your deals, choose the blank spot above Today.
- Status (All/Sold/Pending/Worksheet)
- Closed Deals (Exclude/Include/Only Closed)
- Location (Vehicle location)
- Cash Price Range (low/high)
- Recently Visited Deal List – This is a list of the most recent deals that were opened, with the newest at the top.
2. Deal List (Upper-Right)
This section displays all of the deals based on the search criteria (above). You can sort by any of the columns by clicking on the column heading.
3. Year-Month (Lower-Left)
You can search for deals by clicking on the year and, optionally, the month. By clicking on either the year or the month, it will highlight the first matching deal.
4. Deal Recap (Lower-Right)
The deal recap will give you a summary of the deal you have highlighted. You can maximize the screen by clicking Maximize or you can print it by clicking on Print.
Toolbar
- New – Creates a new deal.
- Open – Opens the highlighted deal.
- Print – Prints the list of deals.
- Reload – Refreshes the screen.
- QuickBooks – Gives you access to the QuickBooks API, where you can upload multiple vehicles to QuickBooks.
- Quick Deal – Allows you to create a quick deal.
Deal Statuses

- In DeskManager, open a deal and a deal window will open.
- At the top of the window, you will see ‘Status’, this field tells you what the status of the deal is.
- You will find each of your deals with one of six possible statuses:
- Worksheet
- Pending
- Sold – Retail
- Sold – Retail BHPH
- Wholesale
- Buyback / Unwind
