This article will walk you through verifying your dealership on Google.
Start by going to Google's business dashboard: https://business.google.com/
Sign in/Manage now (if you are already signed in with the correct account click manage now)
Google will ask for your business name:
If your business is already on Google it will show the business with the address so you can choose it. This also means it’s verified but you can still request access:
But if you haven’t verified your business yet, the business’ information needs to be added, first business name:
After clicking continue, add business type:
Then add category (you have the option to add more categories in your profile later):
Adding address:
After adding the address it shows any other business that already exist in that address so you can choose whether the business you’re verifying is replacing one of those businesses: (choose none of these or this doesn’t match if it’s only one option)
Next step is adding contact info:
In next prompt, click the box and click continue:
The next step is verifying the business by using contact info, which can vary. Sometimes Google will call or they will send a postcard with the code which typically takes 5-7 working days to arrive at your business address:
In the example above we chose to verify later. At this point even though the business isn’t verified, you still have access to it and you can go ahead and customize it; adding business hours, etc.
A new business isn’t publicly visible until it’s verified:
You can edit your business profile from Google searches as well, that’s how it’s going to show up:
When you receive the code by call or mail, click where it says get verified and enter the code in. Once this is done your business will be verified.
