In the Inventory Field Setup, a number of drop-down options for fields from the Inventory window can be customized – such as Makes & Models, Vehicle Types, Years, Colors, Styles, Engines, Series, and Transmissions.
To access these options click File -> Setup, then in the list on the left click the + next to Inventory Setup. Click a category to edit its settings.
Double-click an entry in the list on the right to edit it.
Years
- This table holds the year of the vehicle. We have predefined years, but you can always add your own.
- Click New in the top left, enter the year of the vehicle, then click Save
Colors

- These are the colors that can be used for the interior of the vehicle as well as the exterior. We have predefined a number of them, but you can always add your own.
- *Note – If you do add your own color and you have WebManager, then it will stay with the color you define as long as you don’t edit the vehicle info. If you do, you will need to change the color in WebManager.
- Click New in the top left and enter any colors that have not been pre-defined for you. Click Save to save your changes.
- New colors will be saved in color list, so it can be selected from vehicle details.
Styles
- This table holds the various styles of the vehicle.
- Click New in the top left and enter any styles that aren’t pre-defined.
- Click Save to save your settings.
- New styles will be saved in style list, so it can be selected from vehicle details.
Engines
- This table holds the year of the vehicle. We have predefined years, but you can always add your own.
- Click New on upper left side.
- Enter an engine size and click Save.
- New engine size will be saved in engine size list, so it can be selected from vehicle details.
Series
- This defines the series of the vehicle.
- You can add it here if it is not on the list by clicking New in the top left.
- Enter the series and click Save.
- New transmissions will be saved in the transmission list, so it can be selected from vehicle details.
Editing an Entry
- Double-click on any record to edit it.
- *Note – This error means that the selected record cannot be changed.
