Vehicle Details – Description – AutoManager

The Description tab allows you to enter further information to describe this vehicle.

You can enter a Tagline and a plain text Description of up to 4000 characters.
- Your Default description will be used in all of your listings, including your Website, auctions, and exports, unless you enter separate Website, Auction, or Export descriptions.
- The Tagline is displayed prominently in your website and eBay auction listings and is used as the heading for your vehicle listings on some classifieds sites.
- Be aware that for some sites the maximum description length allowed is shorter than 4000 characters, and any extra text will be cut off.
You can also create more detailed Website and Auction descriptions, taking advantage of our powerful WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor.

- This allows you to enter HTML formatted content to specify font styles and colors, create tables and formatted lists, create hyperlinks to other web pages, and even add images from your Image Library, without requiring you to know any HTML.
- If you have entered a Website Description without entering a separate Auction Description, your auction listings will use your Website Description.
You can also enter separate Export Descriptions which will be sent to classifieds sites.
- Except for Craigslist, HTML isn’t allowed in your Export Descriptions, and will be stripped before the description text is sent.
- For Craigslist, only limited HTML is allowed, and any HTML that isn’t allowed will either be stripped out by Craigslist or cause your listings to be filtered.
Lastly, you can quickly describe the Exterior and Interior Condition, and Owner/Service History of the vehicle by checking a list of several available phrases to add to the vehicle listing and add Additional Notes for each section as needed.
- These are displayed in a separate section below your description text in your Website and Auction descriptions, or added to your description text (if enabled) in your Export descriptions.
- If you do not want any particular section displayed in your vehicle listing, you can uncheck the Enabled box for Display in Listings under each section heading.
