The Pricing tab contains a number of pricing values for your vehicle. Some of these values have more significance in the system than others, and some are for reference and reporting purposes only.
The pricing tab allows you to enter pricing details, including special pricing, as well as view price comparisons. This article will show you how to enter those price details and will be broken into the following sections:
Pricing details can be accessed from anywhere in WebManager by clicking Inventory in the side menu, then selecting Inventory List.
Please choose your vehicle and then click on the Pricing tab.
Standard Pricing
The two most important pricing values are the Internet Price and the Showroom Price.
- The Internet Price is the price you expect for an online sale.
- The Showroom Price is the displayed price at your dealership.
When creating a new eBay auction, the Internet Price is assumed as the auction’s reserve price, and the Showroom Price is set as the Buy It Now price.
Note* The auction starting price is calculated as $5,000 less than the Internet Price or half of the Internet Price, whichever is greater, but you are free to change the Starting Price before scheduling the auction.
The pricing values displayed on your website depend on the Pricing Display Options you have selected in your Listing settings.
If you want to make changes to your pricing display settings, you can click on Edit Vehicle Details Pricing Display.
If you do not want pricing to be displayed for a particular vehicle, you can check Always show "Please Call for Price” instead of price values.
You can change the “Please Call for Price” text to something else under the Listing settings.
When your vehicles are exported to classifieds sites, the pricing value that is sent depends on your selection in your Exports settings.
The Price Note is some additional text you can enter that will be displayed below the Price in your Inventory list and vehicle detail pages.
This can be used to specify a down payment, monthly payment, or any other purpose.
HTML is allowed but we recommend you keep any HTML to a minimum (using <b></b> for bolding and <br/> for line breaks, for example) to avoid any formatting or display issues.
A maximum of 100 characters is allowed, including HTML.
Pricing Comparison
The Pricing Comparison tool allows you to get instant pricing information of your vehicle model from AutoTrader, Cars.com and eBay.
The Prices are obtained and calculated based on the listings of the sites at the time you searched and the area you picked.
After a successful search, all statistics including Listing Number, Highest Price, Average Price and Lowest Price of this vehicle model on the three sites will be calculated and a pricing chart will be displayed together for you.
Moreover, the table heads of AutoTrader, Cars.com and eBay are clickable and will link you to the actual search page of each site under corresponding search criteria.
*Note – The Pricing Comparison tool only counts vehicle listings with explicitly listed prices. Meanwhile, the following contents may be in your search results and please understand their meanings:
- N/A – No such vehicle Brand searchable on that site;
- (*) – No such vehicle Model searchable on that site and the price may be not applicable;
- No Listing Found – Vehicle Make and Model is searchable on the site, but there is no listing of that kind of vehicle found in the search area.
Marketing & Specials
These settings can be used to highlight featured vehicles and specials on your Inventory List pages on your website.
You can also enter a Special Price to be displayed instead of the vehicle’s standard price value, and a Headline to be displayed above the price.
Valuation & Reference Values
Edmunds provides pricing information for MSRP, Invoice, and Trade-In after successfully decoding the VIN.
The Retail, MSRP, Trade-In, Wholesale, Invoice, and Loan Value amounts aren’t used by the WebManager system, but they may be uploaded from DeskManager and are carried over here for your reference.
The Dealer Cost is used in the Sale Details screen and affects your Profits Report.
You can Save at any point during this process, however, once you have filled in the information to your satisfaction, click Save & Close.
