When DeskManager is run from a cloud, printing is directed from the cloud to your computer, then to the printer.
When selecting a printer in DeskManager, you will notice that the printer name is appended with “(redirect #)” with the redirect number in place if the “#”.
- Every time the connection with the cloud server is closed then reopened (i.e. closing and reopening DeskManager), the redirect number will change.
- This can sometimes cause the same printer to appear twice in the printer selection.
- The printer with the most recent “redirect” number must be selected again.
- The highest redirect number for a printer is usually the correct one, however, if that one is unsuccessful, try the next highest number.
To reselect the correct printer after the remote connection has been closed then reopened (i.e. closing and reopening DeskManager), go to print a form in DeskManager.
- If this is a Dot-Matrix/Okidata form:
- In the Margin Adjustments windows, click the “Select Printer” button in the bottom right (pictured below).
- In the Margin Adjustments windows, click the “Select Printer” button in the bottom right (pictured below).

- Then select the printer with the most recent “redirect” number.
- If this is a plain paper/PDF form:
- At the top right, click the Print button.
- This will open the general print window.
- Here you can select the printer with the most recent “redirect” number.
- Keep in mind that you can scroll horizontally in the printer selection window to view all printers.
