Title / DMV Tab

The Title/DMV tab is used to track different Title and DMV related information for the current vehicle.  The information required to be stored here will vary from state to state.  If your state does not require you to track any of these items, feel free to ignore those items.

In DeskManager, double click a vehicle from the Inventory tab to open the vehicle details, then click the Title/DMV tab.

• ROS/ Title Number:  – Enter ROS (Report of Sale) or title number here.  If the report of sale number is entered in the deal at the time a vehicle is sold, it will be updated to this field by the deal.
• Status – Vehicle title status (for example, clear, salvage, flood etc.).
• Title State – State through which the title was issued.
• Title In Date – Date title was received from previous owner.
• Title Out Date – Date title was sent to the new owner (post sale).
• Previous Title Owner – Name of the previous owner of the title.
• Note – Enter any notes desired regarding Title/DMV information.
• Draft Due Date – If your state requires a draft to be paid, when is the draft due to be paid.
• Draft Paid Date – If your state requires a draft to be paid, when is the draft was paid. (optional)
• Draft Paid Check-box – Mark this box if the draft was paid. (optional)
• Paid To – If your state requires a draft to be paid, record the person or agency which received the draft.
• Temp Plate Number 1 & 2 – If temporary registration or temporary plates were issued, record the registration or plate ID number here.  If this information is entered into a deal’s Save screen, it will be updated to this page by that saved deal.
• Date Issued 1 & 2 – If temporary registration or temporary plates were issued, enter the issue date here.  If this information is entered into a deal’s Save screen, it will be updated to this page by that saved deal.
• Expiration Date 1 & 2 – If temporary registration or temporary plates were issued, enter the expiration date here.  If this information is entered into a deal’s Save screen, it will be updated to this page by that saved deal.
• Trans. Plate – This field was provided for customers who do not care to use the Temp Plate field.
• Total Tax Paid – You may record a total of any Title, DMV or related taxes paid here for reference.
