This document will cover how to setup Sensible Auto as a lender option in the lender tab of any deal. This integration allows DeskManager Online users to submit deals to Sensible Auto and receive lender offers back in DeskManager Online.
Sensible will only be available in these states for the time being:
Pennsylvania (PA),
Ohio (OH)
Connecticut (CT)
Massachusetts( MA),
Delaware(DE),
Maine(ME),
Maryland (MD),
New Hampshire (NH),
New Jersey (NJ),
New York (NY),
Rhode Island (RI),
Vermont( VT),
Virginia(VA),
District of Columbia(DC),
West Virginia (WV)
Setup
To setup Sensible Auto as a Lender network option go to Settings > Integrated Vendors > Lenders > Sensible Auto . If this is the first time setting up, you will see the following:
Click “Sign Up With Sensible Auto” and the following dialog will appear with the; Lot Name, Lot Address, User's Full Name, Phone Number, and Email Address. Click 'Continue' to submit this information to Sensible Auto.
Note: The user who initiates this integration will serve as the primary point of contact for Sensible Auto. To ensure a smooth setup, it’s essential that accurate contact information—including a valid email and phone number—is provided to DeskManager. We strongly recommend that an admin user completes this setup process. After the setup has been completed you can expect a Sensible Auto representative to follow up within one business day.
After clicking Continue, the dialog will close and the text underneath the Sensible Auto logo will say: "The dealer info is submitted to Sensible Auto. A rep from Sensible Auto will be reaching out to you."
Once you are registered with Sensible, we can start submitting credit applications.
Submitting Credit Application
To send a credit application to Sensible Auto, first open any deal > lenders tab > Submit to Lender > select Sensible
If there are no validation issues, you will see this summary of what is going to be sent to Sensible:
Once the Credit App has been looked over and is good, click the Submit button. The user will get a confirmation dialog stating the deal has been submitted:
In the Lenders tab, there will be a loading icon, signifying we are waiting for a Lender Offer in response to the credit app that was submitted to Sensible.
After some time, the user will receive a response back. DeskManager will alert the user regardless of location, via a notification in the top right:
Notifications can be found by clicking the bell icon in the top right as well
Sensible can respond with 1 or 3 statuses; Approved, Saved, or Denied. If an offer is Saved or Denied, DeskManager will not show a Select offer button. Only in Approved status, DeskManager will allow a user to apply the offer to its deal structure.
If there are any stipulations associated to the deal structure. There is a View Details link just beneath the 'Has Stipulation' label. The details list will contain things like; Discount amount, and product offers such as GAP or Service Contracts, that are required by the lender.
If the user wants to view the loan within the Sensible Auto portal, there is a button labeled “Open in Sensible Auto”.
When clicking the "Open in Sensible Auto" link, a new tab will open. If you are not already logged in you will be prompted for you to enter Sensible Auto username and password. If you are already logged in, you will see the Edit Loan interface in Sensible Auto portal.
From there the user will confirm the Personal Data, Employment & Income, Vehicle and lastly the Deal Data. If there is a problem with any of these tabs, the Sensible Auto interface will indicate this. Otherwise green checkmarks will be seen in each tab.
Once the deal has met all required criteria, the user can click Submit & Sign
If the Submit & Sign button has already been clicked, going back to edit the deal will show a "Next" button (see below)
Once the Deal has gotten past the Submit a& Sign step in Sensible Auto. DeskManager will get a response back changing the status from Saved to Approved. After DeskManager receives the Approved status, the Sensible Auto loan offer can be associated to the deal:
In some cases DeskManager and Sensible Auto will have slight differences, but since both are within RegZ compliance this can be expected.
Once you are happy with your loan in DeskManager, the deal can be finalized by changing to the Contract tab in DeskManager and clicking Finalize & Print or Finalize & Collect Payment.
Congratulations! You have sold your first car by using DeskManager Online and Sensible Auto!
