This article will walk you through how to print reports in DeskManager Online. It will be broken up into the following sections:
How to Print
There is a Print button at the top of every report.
Clicking the Print button will bring up the Print Report panel.
When you are ready to print, you can click the Print button and send the print job to your printer.
Select Columns to Print
The Select Columns to Print option will allow you to select which fields to include in your printout. By default the Select Columns to Print section is collapsed but can be expanded by clicking on it.
All columns are selected by default. Simply ensure your desired columns are selected before you try to print.
Print Options
The Print Report page has a number of options for printing your report, which will be detailed below.
Fit Columns to Data
Fit Columns to Data will resize all columns in the report to fit all Headers and Data without wrapping or cutting off any of the text.
If your report has too many columns or a lot of long text, this can result in your report being too wide and part of the report may be cut off. Leaving this unchecked will preserve the column sizing you see on screen when viewing your report.
Please note that checking Fit Columns to Data will prevent you from selecting Fit to Page.
Allow Header Text to Wrap
If Header text is too wide to fit in its column, this option will allow it to wrap to a new line. Leaving this unchecked may result in text getting cut off if the column is not wide enough.
Allow Data Text to Wrap
If Data text is too wide to fit in its column, this will allow it to wrap to a new line. Leaving this unchecked may result in text getting cut off if the column is not wide enough.
Print Page Numbers
This allows you to Print Page Numbers on each page of your report, even if your report is only one page. Checking this checkbox will show the page numbers on your printouts.
Include Filter Information
Filter Information explains what criteria the report is based on. Checking this checkbox will include the filter information at the top of your printout.
Include Summary Information
Summary Information refers to the summary data at the bottom of your report. Checking this checkbox will include the summary data at the bottom of the report.
Only Print Summary Information
Checking Only Print Summary Information will only print the summary data, it will not print the rest of the table above.
Layout
Layout lets you choose between portrait and landscape modes.
Scale Options
Scaling your printout will allow you to shrink or grow your report printout to suit your needs.
Fit to Page
If the report is too wide to fit in the selected page layout, this will shrink the report to fit. If your report has too many columns or column sizes are too wide, this can result in your report being shrunk to the point that it may be unreadable.
