Filters are available for the five main lists in DeskManager Online: Inventory, Deals, Accounting, BHPH, and Contacts. Ultimately, filters help you specify the types of items that appear on these lists.
Although you may filter a list just once while searching for a specific item, you may have a filter you want to use on a regular basis. When that’s the case, you’ll want to know how to create saved filters.
Saved filters will work differently depending on your Saved Filter interface setting. Review your current interface setting, then refer to its section below. If you don’t know how to check your interface settings, read our article here: Display & Interface Settings
This article will be broken into the following sections:
Creating a Filter
To customize a filter, click the Filter button within a list.
Set the criteria for this filter.
Once finished, click Apply.
Review the results of this filter to ensure it’s working as you intend. If you need to run this filter on a regular basis, click Save Filter.
Give this filter a Name.
You may choose to set the filter as Default.
If a filter is set as default, this filter will be applied automatically whenever you navigate to its associated list. You can always change the default filter. If no filter is set as default, then no filter will automatically be applied.
To apply a saved filter or change the default filter, click Saved Filters.
Clicking the name of the filter will temporarily apply the filter, whereas clicking Set Default will make that filter the default filter. If no filter is set as default, then no filter will be applied the next time you navigate back to this list.
The filter you selected filter will be shown above.
To disable the selected filter, click Clear Filter.
Modifying a Filter
To alter an existing filter, click the Saved Filter button within a list.
Select the filter you wish to adjust.
Next, select Filter.
Revise this filter to your liking.
Once your revisions are complete, click the name of the filter.
Clicking Apply will temporarily apply the updated settings. Clicking Save Filter will create a new filter, however, and will not update the previous one.
Click Save to administer the changes to your filter.
Clicking Remove will delete the filter.
You can also rename the filter if you prefer.
