You can run vehicle history reports from NMVTIS, CARFAX, and AutoCheck within DeskManager Online. These reports will then also be available in your WebManager software, if you’re subscribed.
To run a vehicle history report, navigate to the Inventory List.
Next, select a vehicle.
Click on the Values tab.
At the bottom of this tab, you’ll find a dropdown for your history report providers that have been marked Show in List in their respective setup menus. If you haven’t yet configured the settings for these providers, refer to our article here:
NMVTIS
To order a NMVTIS report, first open its collapsible menu. Your default settings for the Report Format, Report Language, and Report Type will appear here, but you can change these settings before ordering the report.
The cost of the NMVTIS report deducts from your ePay balance. If you do not have enough funds to purchase the report, click Add ePay funds and follow the directions from our article here:
When you’re ready to run a NMVTIS report with the selected settings, click Order Report.
CARFAX
To order a CARFAX report, first open its collapsible menu.
Your default Report Type will be selected. But you can change the report type before running the report.
If you know a report already exists for the vehicle, click Check for Existing Report.
If there is no existing report for this vehicle, click Run CARFAX Report.
AutoCheck
To order a CARFAX report, first open its collapsible menu.
You can change the Report Type before running the report.
To order an AutoCheck report, click Run AutoCheck Report.
If you encounter an issue running an AutoCheck report, review the Dealer Code you supplied in the AutoCheck setup menu.
