This document will explain how to make Part Kits within DeskManager Online. Parts Kits are user definable bundles of parts. Services being rendered will likely require more than 1 part to perform the work required. Defining kits can save folks the hassle of needing to locate and select the parts each time, instead they can select any Kit and have all the list of parts added in one click.
Expand the left menu > Parts > Part Kits. In the Part Kits list, click Add Part Kit.
A slide out will appear with the tile of Add New Part Kit
Kit Details
- Name* - (required)
- This should be an easy-to-remember name that can be searched for when making Service Invoices
- Description - (optional but recommended)
- This allows employees to specify what this kit is for or provide any other details on the Parts Kit use case
Add Parts to a Parts Kit.
In the Parts section, use the search bar: “Search part by #, UPC, or description…” to find your parts. Clicking into the Search bar will expand the list of Parts that have been entered into the system already.
Typing in a part name will filter the search list down to any matching parts:
Click the Part to add it to the Part Kit
If a part needs to be added to the Kit and is not already added to the Part list, click Add New Part
When adding A New Part through the Part Kit interface, you will be asked for some basic details like:
- Part Number* - (required)
- Description* - (required
- Vendor* - (required)
- Bin Location* - (required)
- Quantity - (optional)
- Unit Cost - (optional)
- Unit Price - (optional)
- Taxable - (toggle)
- Non-Stock Item - (toggle)
As you add Parts to a Part Kit, the Parts table will display part details such as:
- UPC
- Part #
- Description
- Qty
- Price
- SubTotal
- Discount
- Part Taxed?
- Freight
- Freight Taxed?
- Total
- Remove (when available)
Review the Kit Parts Selling Summary
Above the list of parts, you’ll see the Kit Parts Selling Summary, including:
- Parts Total
- Discount Total
- Freight Total
- Total
The summary updates as you add/edit the Kit.
Click Save Kit
