Bin Locations
Bin Locations let you define the physical (or logical) places where parts are stored—like shelves, aisles, or staging areas—so your team can consistently record and find inventory.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Parts → Bin Locations.
Bin Locations List
The Bin Locations page is a list view where you can search, review, and manage your bins.
What you’ll see in the list
Name – The bin label (examples shown: A-1, A-2, Hallway, In/Out, Part Store)
Description – Optional notes about the bin (often the same as the name)
Active – A checkmark indicates the bin is active and available for use
Search and filters
Use the Search box at the top to quickly find a bin by name/description.
Use Filter by Active to show only active (or inactive) bin locations.
Add a Bin Location
Click + Add Bin Location.
In the Add New Bin Location window:
Name (required): Enter the bin location name (ex: A-3, In/Out).
Description (optional): Enter a short description.
Click Save Bin Location.
Edit a Bin Location
Select a bin location from the list to open Edit Bin Location.
Update any of the following:
Name (required)
Description (optional)
Active toggle:
On = available for use
Off = inactive (kept for reference, but not used going forward)
Click Update Bin Location to save changes.
Best practices
Use a consistent naming pattern (ex: A-1, A-2, A-3) so bins sort cleanly and are easy to scan.
Use In/Out or a similar bin for staging parts being received, returned, or moved.
