How to edit an existing Part Kit
Go to Parts → Part Kits.
Click a kit from the list to open Edit Part Kit (slide-out panel).
Update:
Name
Description
Active toggle (turn off to prevent use without deleting)
Add/remove kit line items in the Parts grid
Save changes (once Save is available in your UI).
Best practices
Use clear naming (example: “Brake Pads + Hardware Kit”).
Keep descriptions short but specific (helps new users choose the right kit).
Use the Active toggle instead of deleting kits so you preserve history and prevent accidental usage.
Standardize pricing rules (purchase cost/markup vs manual pricing) so kit totals behave predictably.
Common issues & quick fixes
The kit doesn’t show up when adding to an invoice
Confirm the kit is Active.
Confirm the invoice uses the same location/settings as where the kit is available (if kits are location-aware in your system).
Part Count shows 0
- No parts have been added to the kit yet.
Totals are 0.00
- Confirm the kit lines have Qty and Price values set (and that the kit saving behavior is implemented).
