Many forms and bank contracts require information specific to your company lot, such as your license or dealer number. To ensure this information is printed accurately, take a moment to set up Lot Details.
This article will be broken up into the following sections:
Accessing Lot Details
First, click the Settings cogwheel located at the bottom of the leftmost sidebar. Under the Organization category, select Lots.
On the Lots settings page, click the name of your lot to display its collapsible menu. Most dealerships will only see one lot. If your dealership has multiple lots, you can find them all here.
Entering Dealership Information
From here, enter the lot’s license number, dealer number, tax ID, website URL, and any other information you need or would like to fill out.
You can also mark the lot as a finance company in the box below, if necessary. You should do so if your lot is a Related Finance Company, also known as a Captive Finance Company.
The information on the right side of the lot details page includes the lot’s company name and address.
To update this information, please contact your AutoManager representative. Don’t have your representative’s contact information? Then call us at 800-300-2808, or email us at support@automanager.com.
If a form requires information about the lot, it will pull the information from this page.
If you make any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the section.
Once you have filled in the information, click the back arrow.
Outgoing Email Server Settings
Outgoing emails can be sent via DeskManager Online in various parts of the program. This can be configured on a per-lot and a per-user basis. If you have both setup, the configuration on the user account will supersede configuration on your lot. For more information on configuration on a per-user level, refer to our article here: User Accounts
To begin click Email Server Setup under the Outgoing Email Server Settings section.
Select your email service under Server Name. If you choose Gmail or Outlook the domain name, port, and SSL usage will automatically be filled out.
If selecting Other you will need to fill in the domain name, port, and SSL manually. You can get this information from your email host.
Next fill out your username and password. Please note that Gmail setup requires you to generate an app password. For instructions on getting this app password, please see our help article here: Gmail App Password Setup
Fill out the From Email Address and From Display Name.
Clicking Save will send you an email with a security code.
Enter this security code then click Verify.
Once verified you will see an “Email Settings Verified” message above your email configuration information.
You can make changes to your configuration at any time by clicking “Click here if you want to change the setting.”.
You can remove the settings by clicking “Remove Setting”.
If you make any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the section.
Company Logos
A company logo can be uploaded for use in letters.
Use the Choose File button to navigate to your documents and upload them.
We support a wide range of photo file types. These file types include jpg, .jpeg, .jfif, .png, .bmp, .tif, .tiff, and .gif.
If you make any changes, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the section.
