Letters are an easy way to create documents that auto-fill information from your inventory items in DeskManager Online. This article will provide instructions for working with your letter templates.

Accessing Inventory Letter Templates
Inventory letter templates can be accessed under Settings.
Navigate to Settings, click Letter Templates, then click Inventory.
Library & Custom Letter Templates
Inventory letters are broken up into two sections - Library Letter Templates and Custom Letter Templates.
Library Letter Templates are letter templates created by AutoManager.
Custom Letter Templates are custom letters created by you.
Both Library and Custom Letter Templates are available within your inventory items.
Adding a Library Letter to Custom Letters
Library letters must be added to custom letters in order to be customized.
To add a library letter to your custom letters, start out on the Library Letter Templates tab.
Next click the Add button to the right of any letter you would like to customize.
Give your letter template a name and a description.
From here you can edit the template however you need it. For further information skip down to the Editing Letter Templates section.
When you have satisfactorily customized the letter template be sure to click Save & Close at the top of the screen.
Creating a Custom Letter Template
From the Inventory Letter Templates page, click Add New in the top left.
Be sure to give your template a Template Name and Description.
Next you’re ready to proceed with Editing the Letter Template.
Editing Letter Templates
From the Inventory Letter Templates page, click the name of the letter you would like to edit.
The Template Name and Description can be edited as needed.
In the body of the letter you will make any desired changes.
Fields from the inventory item can be added to the letter using the search bar on the right hand side of the screen.
Double click on the field you would like to add to your letter.
There are a number of formatting options available at the top of the editor.
You can change the size, style, text color, and background color of the text using the options on the left hand side of the menu.
The alignment of your text can be altered on a per-line basis. You can choose from Align Left, Align Center, Align Right, and Align Justify.
Numbered and bulleted lists can be added using the Ordered List and Unordered List buttons.
The Outdent and Indent buttons can be use to bump your text out or in, depending on whether want to move it to the left or the right, respectively. These buttons can also be used in conjunction with the Ordered and Unordered Lists to make sub-numbers or sub-bullets.
Hyperlinks can be embedded into your letter as well. To add a hyperlink, highlight the text you want to link and click the Link button. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+K on your keyboard to bring up the same menu.
Tables can be added to letters as well. Click the Table button and then select the table size or choose the Custom Table option.
The Clear Formatting button can be used to clear out any formatting done on your highlighted text.
The Source Code button will show an editor for the HTML code of your letter.
The Split Editor button will show the letter and the source code of the letter side-by-side.
The Full Screen button will toggle the editor window in and out of full screen mode.
The Undo and Redo buttons will undo or redo your previous actions, respectively.
The Text Subscript and Text Superscript buttons will change your selected text into either subscript or superscript, respectively.
The Delete icon will delete the text you have highlighted.
Be sure to click Save & Close at the top of the page when you are done editing your letter.
Removing Letter Templates
To remove a custom letter template, hover over the letter you would like to remove then click on the trash can icon.
