This article is for DeskManager Online. For DeskManager 11 see SambaSafety or FairFax.
To submit deals for electronic vehicle registration, DeskManager Online offers integration with SambaSafety, Fairfax Imaging, and TriVIN. A short setup process is required for each provider.
To get started, first click the Settings cogwheel located at the bottom of the leftmost sidebar. Under the Integrated Vendors category, select Electronic Vehicle Registration. Then select the registration provider you’d like to set up.
The remaining article will be broken into the following the following sections:
Samba Safety
Include your Samba Account ID and Samba User ID. If you do not know your Samba account credentials, please contact Samba Safety.
Ensure Show in List is checked. If it is not checked, then Samba Safety will not appear as an option when you attempt to process the electronic vehicle registration.
Once complete, click Save & Close.
Fairfax Imaging
First, log into QuickTags.
Once logged into QuickTags, click Manage Users.
Then click the Search button to display your QuickTags users.
Click on the arrow to the right of the Dealership Owner or Dealership Manager, then click Edit.
In the DMS Vendor dropdown menu, select AutoManager. This will generate a Dealership DMS Key.
In the DMS User Name field, type in your DeskManager Online username. Then click Save.
Back in DeskManager Online, copy and paste the DMS User Name and DMS Key as they appear in QuickTags.
Ensure Show in List is checked. If it is not checked, then Fairfax Imaging will not appear as an option when you attempt to process the electronic vehicle registration.
Once complete, click Save & Close.
TriVIN
Enter your TriVIN User ID. This is the same User ID you use to log into the Dealertrack Reg & Title website.
Ensure Show in List is checked. If it is not checked, then TriVIN will not appear as an option when you attempt to process the electronic vehicle registration.
Once complete, click Save & Close.
For TriVIN, your setup is not yet complete. Contact Dealertrack and have them provide their TriVIN export application on your computer. You’ll need this application to transfer the DMO files into TriVIN itself.
By default the TriVIN export files will be saved to your Downloads folder.
