Deals can get complicated, especially when finance companies are involved. To help dealerships track the state of a deal in progress, DeskManager offers customizable deal statuses.
For example, perhaps you’ve submitted a deal to a lender and are waiting for financing. You can assign a custom “awaiting financing” deal status to better organize your workflow and understand a deal at a glance.
Creating a custom deal status takes only a minute of your time and can prevent hours of headaches down the road.
How to Set Up a Deal Status
First, click the Settings cogwheel located at the bottom of the leftmost sidebar. Under the Deal category, select Deal Status.
To add a new deal status, click Add New.
Give this deal status a Name.
Then choose a color for this status.
The tag for this deal status will be the color you select, making it easy to identify at a glance. Here’s an example of a blue status in the deal list.
Unlike an inventory substatus, a deal status does not prevent sales or control WebManager visibility. A deal status is purely an organizational tool.
Once complete, click Save & Close.
How to Apply a Deal Status
To assign a Deal Status to a deal, first navigate to the deal from the Deal List.
In the top-right, find the Sub-Status dropdown box. Then select a Status.
Once complete, click Save.
