WebManager and DeskManager Online automatically sync leads. For example, if a customer fills out a form on your WebManager website and becomes a lead, the collected customer information will appear in DeskManager Online.
This eliminates the need for data entry, as you can then pull customers and their associated information directly into deals.
Although WebManager’s leads sync with DeskManager Online, there are some caveats, such as if you’re using Automotive CRM. To send a lead from Automotive CRM to DeskManager Online, refer to the article here: Exporting Leads from Automotive CRM to DeskManager Online
This article will take a close look at how captured WebManager leads sync with DeskManager Online, as well as where and how you can take advantage of this feature.
Capturing Leads in WebManager
Anytime a potential customer fills out a form, credit application, or questionnaire on your WebManager website, that customer becomes a lead. WebManager captures customer information on the form and adds this customer as a lead in WebManager’s Contacts tab.
Once a customer is added as a lead on WebManager, the lead is automatically synced with DeskManager Online. Without any input from you, the lead will appear on DMO’s Contacts List in about one to two minutes.
Leads captured through WebManager’s Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist tools do not sync with DeskManager Online.
If you don’t have a WebManager subscription, some leads can still be exported and synced from elsewhere, like those from Automotive CRM.
Using a Captured Lead
Once a captured lead is available in DeskManager Online, you can pull this lead into deals, run a credit check, or add additional demographic data to better track your marketing efforts.
Search for the customer in your Contacts List, then click their name.
From the lead’s prospect window, you can click New Deal to create a deal with this customer.
To run a credit check, click Credit, and then New Credit Report along the top. Keep in mind that if the lead was captured through a basic form in WebManager, the lead may not have enough information to run a credit check. You may have to collect and enter this information yourself.
Haven’t completed your credit reporting setup? Depending on your provider, refer to our 700Credit article:
Lastly, you can pull a lead into an existing deal by navigating to the deal’s Buyers tab and clicking Search Existing Contacts. Search for the synced lead, then click their name to add them directly to the deal.
