The Deals List provides an overview of deals within DeskManager Online. It consists of three separate sections: the Search Bar, Filters, and the Deal List itself.
To navigate to the Deals List, click on Deals in the leftmost sidebar, and then select Deals List.
The Search Bar
The search bar appears at the top of the Deals List and is the most efficient method of finding a specific deal or set of related deals.
In the search bar, select your search condition. This may be the customer’s name or email address, or the vehicle’s VIN or stock number.
Once you select your search condition, enter the associated information in the search bar. For example, if you are searching by the last 6 digits of the VIN number, you’ll include them here.
Then click Search. Every deal with the related information will appear in the Deal List. You may see multiple entries if you search by buyer name, for example, and that customer has purchased multiple vehicles.
The Filter
The filter ultimately determines which deals appear in the Deal List. By default, the filter is set to only display pending deals.
But if you want the Deals List to display every sold deal or every deal made across a specific time period, you can change the filter settings accordingly.
Note that a filter will have no effect on a search. If the filter is set to not show Sold deals, a sold deal will still appear in the list if you search for it via the search bar.
First, click Filter to open up the filter settings.
There are six different filter settings available:
- Sale Type: BHPH, Retail-Cash, Retail-Financed, or Wholesale.
- Sold: Whether the deal is pending or sold.
- Status: Custom deal statuses.
- Start Date and End Date: A selected time period.
- Location: The custom location where the vehicle is located.
Once you tweak these filter settings to your liking, click Apply to run the Deals List through this new filter.
If you regularly use a specific filter setup, you can click Save Filter to save these settings for later.
When you want to use this filter setup in the future, click Saved Filters and select the filter you saved.
If you set the filter as Default, the filter will automatically apply whenever you open the Deals List.
The Deal List
The Deal List displays all deals that fall within the parameters of the filter or search request.
Every deal on the list includes a basic overview, including the buyer’s name, the stock number, and the sale type.
Balances, due dates, and down payment information will also be displayed for sold deals. For a more in-depth overview of sold deals in the Deals List, refer to our article here: Collecting Deal Payments
To access the deal details, simply click the buyer’s name.
To quickly print documents, add tasks or notes, or delete the deal, right-click the vehicle column.
