Accounting Settings
Here we will give you a quick rundown of the tools in the Accounting Settings area of the DeskManager Online Settings page.
QuickBooks Setup - This is where we will begin our configuration of QuickBooks by selecting if we are going to work with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online.
Chart of Accounts - This section allows users to perform the basic high-level setup of how DeskManager will break down the Chart of Accounts to be used in QuickBooks.
Accounting Status - This area is for the user to create status types that will be useful to the dealership while working with sold deals waiting for collections or other points during the life of the outstanding loan. It is completely customizable and includes the option to choose colors for the statuses as well.
Adjustment Categories - This is where the various categories of Deal Adjustments and Side Notes are set up. It will be a list containing DeskManager Online built-in categories, custom categories created by the dealership users as well as categories that may have been imported from the DeskManager Desktop version. Deal Adjustments and Side Notes are found in the customers' Account by clicking on Adjustment/Side Note at the top of the screen. They can be set to be due before or at the end of the loan as well as immediately.
