This article explains what is required to receive responses from Dealertrack when submitting credit applications from DeskManager Online.
DeskManager Online Setup
Before receiving responses from Dealertrack, you must ensure that DeskManager Online is properly configured. The setup process remains the same as before. Dealers need to have the Dealertrack module enabled and set up a Dealertrack account in the DeskManager Online Settings page. Once these steps are completed, the DeskManager Online side of the integration is fully configured.
Dealertrack Setup
To receive responses in DeskManager Online, additional settings must be configured within Dealertrack. Start by logging in to Dealertrack and accessing the Settings menu by clicking the cog wheel in the top-right corner.
From there, navigate to Dealer Setup and select Finance Services.
This will open a new tab titled Leads Partner Integration | Edit Setup.
In this section, locate the Select Partners header and click the first Edit button.
Choose AutoManagerDR as the partner and continue.
Once selected, the system will return to the Leads Partner Integration | Edit Setup page. Next, under the Prequalifications & Routing header, click the second Edit button.
This will open the Leads Partner Integration | Prequalification & Routing page.
Required Settings
At least one of the following settings must be configured before responses can be received in DeskManager Online:
- Credit Score – The value cannot be lower than 300. Do not set this value if you do not pay Dealertrack for credit checks. The form cannot be saved without selecting a credit bureau.
- Years at Current Job – Can be set to 0. This is used to automatically pass or fail a credit application based on the buyer's time with their current employer.
- Annual Income – Can be set to 0. This is used to automatically pass or fail a credit application based on the buyer’s annual income.
- Total Bankruptcies – Not applicable to DeskManager Online.
- Total Open Satisfactory Tradelines – Not applicable to DeskManager Online.
Lender Routing Setup
At the bottom of the Prequalification & Routing page, navigate to the AutoManagerDR tab.
Dealertrack users can select up to six lenders from whom they want to receive responses. To get a response, at least 1 lender needs to be selected. Depending on the prequalification check, Dealertrack will pull responses from either the Pass Prequalification lender list or the Failed Prequalification lender list.
DeskManager Online will not receive any lender responses if these settings are not configured. If a credit application has already been submitted and no response is received, verify that the Dealertrack settings are correct. If necessary, update the settings and submit the credit application again as a new application.
If these configurations are not set properly, responses will not return, preventing the dealer from seeing lender decisions within DeskManager Online. Ensuring these steps are followed correctly will help maintain seamless communication between DeskManager Online and Dealertrack.
