Forms on your dealership's website are essential tools for collecting information from your users. Managing these forms efficiently can enhance your website’s functionality and user experience. The Form Settings feature allows you to define certain settings for your website forms in one central location, rather than adjusting each form individually. This helps streamline the process, especially when dealing with features like CAPTCHAs and disclaimers.
Finding Form Settings
To access Form Settings, navigate to the Settings section of your website management dashboard. Once there, click on the Website section, and then select Form Settings. Here, you can manage and customize your form settings across all forms on your website.
CAPTCHA
CAPTCHAs (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) are security features designed to prevent automated bots from submitting forms on your website. They typically require users to solve a challenge, such as identifying objects in images or typing distorted characters, to prove they are human.
CAPTCHAs are essential for preventing spam submissions on your website forms. However, it's easy to overlook enabling CAPTCHAs on all forms, which can lead to increased spam.
With the Form Settings feature, you can enable CAPTCHAs on all forms simultaneously, ensuring comprehensive protection without needing to adjust each form individually.
If you prefer, you can still use form-specific CAPTCHA settings, or even disable CAPTCHAs on all forms at once if desired.
Disclaimer
Disclaimers are important for legal protection and transparency. They help clarify the terms under which information is collected and used, providing important information to users about how their data will be handled. By including a disclaimer on your forms, you can ensure users are aware of these terms and reduce potential legal risks.
Disclaimers can be managed through Form Settings.
You can choose to apply a disclaimer across all forms on your website, ensuring consistency and legal protection.
You have the option to use the form-specific disclaimer text entered on each form, select from two pre-defined disclaimers, or enter a custom disclaimer to be used site-wide. This flexibility allows you to tailor the disclaimer to suit your dealership's needs while maintaining ease of management.
