Configuring Okidata Print Server Properties

If your dealership prints forms that are not standard or legal paper size, such as the LAW 553, you’ll have to create a custom paper size to ensure the entire contract prints. If your form is not printing completely, it’s a sign you need to create a custom paper size. 

To create a custom paper size, you must know the contract’s dimensions. Measure the contract’s length, as this will be needed later. The width will always be 8.5 inches. As an example, California’s LAW 553 is 8.5 inches wide and 29 inches long. 

Prior to printing to your Okidata in DeskManager Online you will also need to configure the correct driver, configure the internal settings, and configure your printer's mechanical settings.

Configuring Your Print Server 

First, navigate to the Control Panel. Type Control Panel in the Start Menu. 

If your computer does not have a search bar here, press Windows key + R on your keyboard. Then type control. 

Navigate to View devices and printers. 

Click on your Okidata printer. Then in the top-left, click Print server properties. 

Click Create a new form. In the width field, enter 8.5 inches. In the height field, enter the length of the contract you measured earlier. 

Be sure to name your form so you can select these print properties later on. It’s best to give this form the same name as your contract. 

Once complete, click Save Form in the top-right. You’ll now be able to print this long contract from DeskManager Online.
